Music Consulting

Sound is my passion.

As a supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer, I have worked on over 130 international theatrical and TV films, as well as documentaries, worldwide.

Since 1995, I have collaborated with renowned directors such as Julie Delpy, Maria Schrader, Emily Atef, Angela Schanelec, Thomas Stuber, Scandar Copti, Tom Tykwer, Fatih Akin, Wolfgang Becker, Mascha Schilinski, Valeska Grisebach, George Ovashvili, Stephan Komandarev, and Andres Veiel.

In 2026, Mascha Schilinski's Sound of Falling received the German Film Award for Best Sound.

In addition to my sound work, I have been a music consultant for film and TV since 2020.

The only thing I’ve been doing longer than sound for motion pictures is playing the electric guitar.

Approach

Sound Post

I love films and sound, and I believe it is crucial to connect early in the process to achieve the best soundtrack. Optimal working conditions involve early script analysis, post-production budgeting, team building, concept and workflow solutions. Whether early or last minute, regional, national, or international, together we will find a solution to make your film sound perfect.

Music Consulting

Music brings a variety of emotions to motion pictures. This powerful element should be carefully chosen, conceived, and composed. Finding the right tone and approach while collaborating with producers, directors, and composers can be challenging and requires time, mental effort, and research. I am happy to contribute and assist.

Studio

My facilities are located in Leipzig, Germany. The 50-square-meter sound stage is a hybrid space for sound design, recording and mixing, supporting formats from stereo and 5.1 to Dolby Atmos 7.1.4. It features separate ME-Geithain nearfield and JBL cinema speaker setups with a TV or 4,5x2,5 sqm projection screen.

Additionally, the studio includes an assistant editor’s suite and a sunny conference room. The old industrial area of Leipzig-West has transformed into a vibrant and exciting district with various accommodations, dining options, and bars. The studio itself is housed in a historic factory alongside other artists and architects.

Green Producing

The facilities include green energy, heat recovery, rainwater harvesting, pellet heating system in a certified energy-efficient building. Certificates are provided upon request.
